Hi there,
I'm Jannes, and I'm tecky, Web developer, Architect, consultant, Team Lead, UX (CX) advocate, visionary, renegade and optimist.
My colleagues call me “Mr Web”, “lodash” and “the brain”; I breathe and live web-development, or as our product owner put it: "Jannes is [...] our lead frontend developer [...] and is our mastermind". But I don't only do frontend, I create web applications from the idea to caring after go-live, including the architecture, consulting, design, API, backend, infrastructure, build- and deployment ("DevOps"), hosting - everything about it really. In my free time, I build IoT-applications, websites, home-automation and other cool things – everything included, from soldering the circuits via establishing the network connections and programming the distributed systems to providing the functionality as a web application.
For me a good website has certain important characteristics:
- Made for their audience
- Fast and performant
- Save and secure
- Accessible and inclusive
That is why websites and -apps I work on feature modern technologies such as React, Redux and Gatsby, Cloud and Serverless (in fact this very side is build on those) and adhere to modern standards such as PWA, REST, JSON-LD, JSON-Schema and GraphQL.
I love pushing for the new and awesome, bringing awesome ideas to live, mastering a good challenge, teaching and sharing my knowledge, solving problems and making people happier, coding through the night until I see the sun rises again!
